Gary Boggess
Sound Engineer/Post Production Audio
Hometown: Tampa, FL
Gary has produced original music for nearly
every medium, including dance companies, live theatre,
TV commercials, and films. His "ear" for sound led him
toward film, and as a film Sound Effects Editor, he has
worked in Los Angeles with Hollywood's top Sound Designers. His
SFX and Foley work can be heard in films like HBO's Barbarian
At The Gate, Batman & Robin, The
Seventh Veil, and numerous sci-fi trailers and short
films. Boggess is able to provide all audio post-production
services for film, from location sound, dialog editorials,
sound design, music scoring, and final mixing. His
new studio, Boggess Music & Sound, is located in Tampa,
Florida.
Many exciting things have happened within Boggess Music
and Sound recently. In early 2004, Boggess forged
a deal with an entertainment law firm to enable his signing
of an exceptional female pop artist, Giulia, to a recording
and development deal. In January, Boggess was contracted
to provide two production sound crews to record audio for
a series of major Rooms To Go national TV spots. This
was Rooms to Go’s biggest budget commercial production
to date. In February, Boggess was hired as Location
Audio Mixer/Recordist for a three-day shoot in Fort Meyers,
Florida at Hammond Stadium, where a small film crew shot
interviews with baseball greats, the Minnesota Twins. Boggess
also produced ADR (Automatic Dialog Replacement) for Forest
Whitaker’s feature film, First Daughter,
starring Michael Keaton, Katie Holmes, Marc Blucas, and
Michael Milhoan.
Currently, Gary is in the process of completing audio
post-production on a new feature film entitled, Loren
Cass. Lastly, he has been appointed to work
as Sound Supervisor for two new films being produced by
Northlight Films, Inc.
